In 2005 Dr. Waldman was honored to receive a special award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Mark Rafaty Award. This award is given once a year at the annual meeting to a surgeon who has demonstrated a lifetime of valuable contributions to the specialty and to the education of other facial plastic surgeons. As such, Dr. Waldman became the first Kentucky Surgeon to receive this prestigious award. Dr. Waldman has also been selected as one of the top 200 plastic surgeons in the US and has also been listed for the past two years as one of the Best Doctors in America as published by Woodward and White and has been listed in America’s Top Doctors 2005 and 2006, published by Castle Connolly, LTD.

Dr. Schantz is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with extensive experience and specialization in all forms of breast surgery including augmentation, reduction, and lifting. He has also developed expertise in abdominoplasty and liposuction as well as post-bariatric body lifting. His Los Angeles training has allowed him to gain special expertise in the laser bra technique of breast reduction and lifting.

 

 

 

Rhinoplasty:

Rhinoplasty is the official name of the operation that improves the appearance and/or function of the nose. It involves removing any "excess" bone or cartilage while refining the appearance of the nose to bring it in harmony with other features of the face. As a specialist in Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Waldman is uniquely qualified to perform rhinoplasty, having initially trained with Dr. Jack Anderson in New Orleans (who many consider the father of modern day rhinoplasty). Lip augmentation or enlargement is one of our most requested procedures. Common options for lip enhancement include the injection of filler material such as hyaluronic acid or even fat. The laser bra was created to improve results and make them last longer. The whole point of the laser bra is to create a longer lasting and more permanent lift of the breast when performing a reduction, augmentation mastopexy, or standard breast lift. more info

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to improve and enhance the size of a woman’s breast. The procedure is used to enlarge small breasts, to correct a reduction in breast volume after pregnancy and to balance different breast sizes. more info

 

 

 

Mini-Bleph

Dr. Waldman believes that a facelift should be individualized for each patient. Younger patients usually do not need as extensive a correction and can sometimes be treated with a more limited procedure with shorter scars and a quicker recovery time. Dr. Waldman refers to his individualized facial rejuvenation procedures for patients aged about 54 and younger as the "baby-boomer facelift." We also often utilize what we refer to as the "Baby Boomer Blepharoplasty" This utilizes a combination of laminated and conservative skin removal from the lower lid without extensive surgical undermining or tissue elevation. Fat removal is done in a conservative fashion only if there is extensive puffiness below eyes. A chemical peel is done at the same time or a couple of months later to further enhance the outcome of the procedure.
